In Deals Rummy as well as Pool Rummy, the numbered cards carry 2 to 10 points each. While all the face cards along including aces have a fixed value i.e. 10 points each. In Deals Rummy players are dealt chips, and remaining chips at the end define a player’s score. Whereas in Pool Rummy, the players’ points determine his score.
Winning and Calculation
In the case of Deals Rummy, at the end of each deal, based on the score points, the winning player gets chips from losing player. It is one of the biggest differences between Deals Rummy and Pool Rummy. The winner is the one who has the highest number of chips after all deals (whether two or three) of a single game have been played.
In the case of both the types of Pool Rummy, the winning strategies are different. In the case of 101 Pool Rummy, the player having less than 101 points in total at the end of the game wins. Similarly, in the case of 201 Pool Rummy, the player having less than 201 points at the end wins the game.
